IMPORTANT NEWS FOR SCHOOLS & COLLEGES

If your students are at home during the UK school closures, we’ve created a series of Home Learning Activities on Start to help them stay engaged with their careers learning.

In addition to continuing with their academic studies, students will really benefit from having a future-focus and thinking about their career and study options at this time of disruption and uncertainty.

These activities will help. They include videos, quizzes and reflective learning in a range of areas including:

• Selling yourself – the importance of a personal brand
• Learning from the jobs people in their family have done
• Understanding the importance of technology and how it’s changing the workplace

We’ll keep adding more activities, so please encourage students to work through the tasks and check back regularly. They’ll need their Start account to login (if they don’t have one already they can easily self-register when they start the activities).

You can share the link below with students and it will take them directly to the activities. Or, download the Home Learning Activities Instructions Sheet, which you can use to email to students or upload to your VLE (it’s editable too, so you can include contact details if students are having any trouble).
